Laws

Permission – Subletting is allowed in Georgia but the original tenant typically has to obtain consent from the landlord.[1]

Rent Payments – The landlord may have the subtenant pay rent to them directly, but the original tenant remains liable for this obligation as well as any damage caused to the premises.
