Maryland Vehicle Registration (3 Steps)

The vehicle registration and titling process in Maryland can be carried out at the nearest Motor Vehicle Administration location.

 

1. Inspection

Used vehicles must be taken to an inspection station (a task typically carried out by the seller) before they are registered and titled in the new owner’s name. The inspection station will send a certification document to the MVA, which is valid for 90 days.[1]
