Delaware Concealed Carry
A Concealed Carry Deadly Weapons permit (CCDW) is required to carry a concealed weapon in Delaware.
Individuals 18 and older can apply for a CCDW permit by doing the following[3]:
- Publish a notice in an approved newspaper 10 business days before applying for the permit and obtain an affidavit from the newspaper.
- Schedule a fingerprinting appointment with the State Bureau of Identification online using the applicable service code* (fingerprinting subject to fees).
- Submit the below documents in person or by mail to a Prothonotary’s Office, along with duplicates of the application and attachments.
- Application for a License to Carry a Concealed Deadly Weapon – Must be notarized (provided for free at the office).
- Reference Questionnaire – Completed by five residents of the applicant’s county (who are not relatives or share a home address).
- Proof of fingerprinting payment
- Newspaper affidavit
- Two recent photographs of the applicant
- Payment for filing fee
- Complete a training course issued by an approved instructor and submit a notarized certificate to the office within 90 days of the application’s approval.
