Wyoming Concealed Carry

Any Wyoming resident over the age of 21 may concealed or open carry a firearm without a permit.

A Wyoming Concealed Firearm Permit (CFP) can be obtained if an individual wishes to concealed carry in reciprocating states. Applicants will have to follow the steps listed below.

  1. Complete training course or firearms competition and create a photocopy of the certificate or affidavit from the instructor.
  2. Download and complete the Concealed Firearm Permit Application; make three copies.
  3. Visit the county sheriff’s office and hand over all copies of the application form and the certificate or affidavit of training.
  4. The sheriff’s office will perform a background check and charge a service fee and an application fee.
  5. Within five days of submitting the application, the applicant must visit a DOT Driver’s Services office to have their picture taken for the permit.
