Powers of attorney must be notarized and signed by at least two adult witnesses. Both witnesses must sign in the presence of each other and the principal. The notary can serve as one of the witnesses.[1]
Any power of attorney granting the right to sell property on the principal’s behalf must be recorded with the Clerk of the Circuit Court.[2]
