An Arizona general bill of sale is a generic document used as proof of purchase for the private sale of personal property. The completed bill of sale must be executed by the buyer and seller, who will also need to provide their contact information. The form also includes optional spaces for witnesses and a notary public to sign to prove the document’s authenticity. By obtaining a signed receipt, the buyer will be able to prove their ownership and the acquisition of the item sold. When selling vehicles, watercraft, and firearms, a more detailed bill of sale will be required (see below).
