A Nebraska motor vehicle bill of sale is a document that acts as proof of purchase for the private sale of a vehicle between a seller and buyer. The form will list the vehicle’s make, year, and vehicle identification number (VIN), as well as the names and contact information of the buyer and seller. When a purchaser registers a vehicle in their name following a private transaction in Nebraska, they will need to present a bill of sale. Furthermore, the bill of sale will be used to calculate the amount of motor vehicle tax that the buyer will need to pay.
