Recording Details
- Signing Requirements – Must be signed by the grantor (transferor) and either notarized or signed by two witnesses.[1]
- Where to Record – County Clerk’s Office[2]
- Fees – $5 for the first page + $4 for each additional page (as of this writing)[3]
- Counties may charge an additional $10 record management fee and a $10 archive fee.[4]
Formatting Requirements
A deed must comply with the following formatting specifications prior to recording[5]:
- Paper: No larger than 8.5″ wide and 14″ long
- Font: At least 8-points
