Recording Details

  • Signing Requirements – Must be signed by the grantor (transferor) and either notarized or signed by two witnesses.[1]
  • Where to Record County Clerk’s Office[2]
  • Fees – $5 for the first page + $4 for each additional page (as of this writing)[3]
    • Counties may charge an additional $10 record management fee and a $10 archive fee.[4]

Formatting Requirements

A deed must comply with the following formatting specifications prior to recording[5]:

  • Paper: No larger than 8.5″ wide and 14″ long
  • Font: At least 8-points
