A Nebraska subcontractor agreement sets forth the provisions that govern the arrangement between a contractor and subcontractor with respect to services performed in exchange for financial compensation. In addition to said services and compensation, the contract covers important terms such as the obligations of both parties, the start and end date of the agreement, termination options, subcontractor rights, resolution of disputes, and independent contractor status.

This last component of the agreement, independent contractor status, refers to the subcontractor’s relationship to the contractor. The subcontractor is not an employee of the contractor; therefore, they are responsible for maintaining the required business licenses and permits and necessary liability insurance.
