A Nebraska independent contractor agreement is a legal form that establishes the terms of a contractor’s working relationship with their client. Many crucial elements of the contractor’s services are written down in the agreement, including a description of their project responsibilities, salary, insurance obligations, contract length, and procedures for early termination.
The agreement offers the client legal protection in the event the contractor fails to deliver what was promised. For the contractor, the agreement ensures payment from the client while also demonstrating to the IRS that they are a self-employed worker (i.e., not the client’s employee).
