A Tennessee subcontractor agreement is a legal contract whereby a subcontractor is hired to contribute their services towards a general contractor’s larger project. The document will ensure both parties are aware of their responsibilities prior to commencing work, such as who will provide materials, transportation, equipment, work licenses, and whether the subcontractor may hire additional personnel. Completing the form will reduce the possibility of disagreement in regards to the subcontractor’s compensation and when payment will be delivered, as well as the projected timeline for the work to be completed.

If the contractor or subcontractor disagrees on a provision stated in the document after the agreement has been signed and executed, the document will indicate the terms for dispute resolution and whether it will be resolved via an arbitrator or mediator.
