Ohio tenants must uphold their statutory obligations under the Landlord-Tenant Act, which include (but are not limited to)[1]:
- Maintaining the premises clean and safe
- Properly disposing of trash
- Abiding by local and state housing, safety, and health codes
- Upholding their neighbour’s peaceful enjoyment of their property
For statutory violations involving controlled substances, however, a three-day notice must be provided to the tenant.[2]
