Vermont 30-day notice to quit for non-compliance is a formal warning served on a tenant who has failed to comply with the terms of their rental agreement to communicate that they must vacate the property in thirty (30) days. The landlord sending the notice to quit can determine whether the severity of the breach is sufficient to provide no opportunity for recourse, or if they will allow the tenant to fix their non-compliance and remain on the premises. If the tenant refuses to vacate or repair the breach, they will face an ejectment (eviction) suit and will most likely be physically removed by law enforcement following a judgment against them.
