The Mississippi motor vehicle power of attorney (Form 78-003-17-8-1-000) is a legal form whereby a vehicle owner (the “grantor”) appoints a representative (the “attorney-in-fact”) to sell a vehicle, as well as transfer and assign its title. In the document, the grantor will be required to provide the vehicle’s information, including its make, vehicle identification number (VIN), year, body type, title number, and mileage. Once the attorney-in-fact has completed a sale and title transfer, a copy of the power of attorney document must be provided to the vehicle’s new owner along with the certificate of title.
