A Mississippi motor vehicle bill of sale is a form used to record a transaction between the seller and buyer of an automobile. The completed form will include a description of the vehicle (including the VIN), an odometer disclosure statement, and the final sales price. A bill of sale is a required document in the registration process of a Mississippi vehicle if the certificate of title assignment does not include the sales price. In all other cases, the form will most likely be used as proof of purchase and will be kept with each party’s respective records.
