A Michigan residential rental application is used by landlords to obtain personal and financial information from potential tenants prior to accepting them for tenancy. The applicant will be required to provide their banking information, employment history, rental history, and current income. Additionally, the individual must disclose any co-tenants, pets, and vehicles. By filling out and signing the form, the applicant permits the landlord to conduct a full background check on them. The landlord will often charge a fee to cover the expenses associated with performing the credit check.
