The North Dakota roommate agreement is an internal contract between roommates that defines the terms and conditions by which each occupant must abide while living in the same residence. The agreement establishes guidelines for behavior, thus assuring that the living needs and expectations of the roommates are respected. In order to avoid disagreements, the contract should distinguish the financial obligations imposed upon each person, including the monthly rent and utilities. It may also prove beneficial to establish a schedule in which the roommates are assigned cleaning tasks and maintenance duties to perform on a specific calendar date.
