An Oregon roommate agreement is a contract negotiated and entered into by a group of individuals who wish to share a residential rental unit. A roommate agreement contains all the provisions necessary to ensure the roommates live together harmoniously, such as rent division, the distribution of chores, pet accommodation, common areas, noise limitations, and the allowance of guests. The provisions can be changed from time to time as the roommates see fit, as long as the terms are mutually agreed upon. A roommate agreement should only be signed if all individuals understand and agree to the terms and conditions.
