The Washington sublease agreement defines the terms and conditions by which a tenant is authorized to re-rent, or “sublease,” the property they’ve been leasing to a third party (the “sublessee”). This agreement requires the sublessee’s full compliance with the original lease. Should the sublessee deviate from the established rental conditions, it is the sublessor who will face the consequences who may face damages or eviction. Before executing the agreement, the sublessor should verify whether subleasing is permitted by checking their lease and speaking with the landlord.
