The Wisconsin 14-day notice to quit for non-payment is used to demand that a tenant vacate the property within 14 days for failing to pay rent on time. This notice can only be delivered if the tenant has overdue rent a second time within a year of the previous violation. If the tenant does not move out before the notice period expires, the landlord can have them evicted.

The Wisconsin 14-day notice to quit for non-payment is used to demand that a tenant vacate the property within 14 days for failing to pay rent on time. This notice can only be delivered if the tenant has overdue rent a second time within a year of the previous violation. If the tenant does not move out before the notice period expires, the landlord can have them evicted.

First Violation

A 14-day notice can only be used if this is the second time the tenant has failed to pay rent on time within a year of the previous breach. For first-time violators, the 5-day notice to quit for non-payment should be delivered instead.[1]
