A Mississippi general bill of sale is a form used to convey the transfer of ownership of personal property from a seller to a buyer. Generic bills of sale allow the parties to establish a legal and valid record of any transaction, with the option of notarizing the document to further authenticate the transfer. The seller should write a description of the item(s) sold and the total sale price. The buyer and seller will enter their names, addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers onto the form as well. By signing the bill of sale, the parties agree that ownership has been transferred to the buyer, and that the seller is no longer liable for the condition of the personal property.
