Washington General Bill of Sale Form

A Washington general bill of sale is used to record the transfer of personal property from one party to another. The completed, signed, and notarized (if necessary) document is essentially a receipt of the transaction, providing all parties to the sale with proof that ownership has changed hands. Whereas there are specific documents that Washington residents must use when transferring vehicles, vessels, and firearms, this generic form allows users to relay the sale and purchase of any type of property they wish, so long as they provide a detailed description thereof and the agreed-upon price.
