The New Hampshire roommate agreement is a contract that governs the relationship between roommates by defining the responsibilities of each occupant. The agreement specifies the amount each renter is required to pay with regard to the base rent, security deposit, and utility fees.
In addition to financial stipulations, the agreement can implement policies for overnight guests, pets, cleanliness, and noise. A specific schedule for cleaning duties can be assigned to all roommates, as well as any conditions where smoking is permitted or prohibited. All conditions set forth in the agreement must be consented to by the occupants before becoming effective, and nothing in the contract may supersede the lease terms.
