The Michigan move-in/move-out checklist is completed at the beginning and at the end of a residential lease to record the condition of the rental property. Checklist Required

At the beginning of the tenancy, landlords must deliver two copies of the checklist to the tenant. After performing the move-in inventory, the tenant must return one of the copies to the landlord within seven days of possession of the rental property.[1]
